Rule 28
Provisions related to the establishment of comprehensive maintenance (overall) including production, maintenance and testing of aircraft and aircraft parts
:
(1) Organizations that wish to carry out detailed maintenance (overall) including production, repair and testing of aircraft and aircraft parts licensed in accordance with prevailing laws must submit the necessary details in the format mentioned in the Annex and Manual and attach the fees mentioned in Schedule-1 to the Director General for permission to do such work. Application should be made before .
(2) In case of an application of any organization according to sub-rule (1), the Director General shall carry out the necessary investigation and provide the applicant with detailed maintenance including the production, repair and testing of aircraft and aircraft parts under the prevailing laws related to non-military aviation, these regulations, annexes and other arrangements mentioned in the manual. (3) The period of the permission granted as per sub-rule (2) shall be one financial year and before the expiry of the period, an application shall be submitted to the Director General for renewal by paying the fee as mentioned in Schedule-1.
(4) The format of the application to be given in accordance with sub-rule (3) and other procedures related to the renewal of the permit shall be as mentioned in the annex and manual.
